"They are taking God our of Our Country"

"Our Forgotten Veterans"  more...

Recently, the White House architect removed God from the flag certificates given to grieving families of fallen military.  On September 27th, there was an even more outrageous decision made by the Bush administration, in conjunction with the Veterans’

Administration, the banning of the 11th statement of the folding of the US flag during a military funeral ceremony.  It removes mention of God.

The 11th fold reads, "In the eyes of a Hebrew citizen, represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon, and glorifies, in their eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob".  This is a reverent and historical statement.

Unless the family expressly requests this statement and the references to God to be included in the funeral, God will be excluded.  And if the family requests a traditional military funeral with God, the family must find “volunteers” to wear the military uniform and recite the moving statements during the Folding of the Flag.  The VA will not supply soldiers to participate in the traditional funerals anymore.  It is an outrage and a disgrace to take God out of traditional military funerals.

I will allow and protect the traditional reference to, and use of, God within government.  After all, Congress starts every day with a prayer, and we still have Freedom of Religion.
